Data Controller: Aadam Sidat trading as marketiered
Email: hello@marketiered.com
For personal data marketiered collects and uses for its own business purposes, Aadam Sidat trading as marketiered is the controller.
In some client work, marketiered may process personal data on behalf of a client - for example, when managing a client mailing list, social media activity or customer communications. In those circumstances, the client will normally be the controller and marketiered will act as a processor under the relevant Client Services Agreement and data-processing terms.
2. Personal Data We May Collect
We collect only the personal data that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. This may include:
Identity & Contact Data: name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, billing address and other business contact details.
Media & Appearance Data: photographs, video footage, audio recordings and voices where identifiable people are involved in content creation. The lawful basis and permitted use depend on the circumstances and are made clear through the relevant production arrangements and release forms where appropriate.
Transaction Data: information relating to subscriptions, invoices, payment status, Direct Debit mandates and booking records. GoCardless processes payment-account and mandate information under its own privacy arrangements. marketiered may receive the limited payment and mandate information needed to administer services and reconcile payments.
Communication Data: information you provide through contact forms, Brand Audit intake forms, bookings, calls, email or other correspondence.
Business Contact Data: professional contact details obtained directly from you or, where lawful, from publicly available business sources such as company websites, business directories and professional profiles.
Technical & Usage Data: information such as IP address, browser/device information, operating system, pages viewed and session activity, where collected through website technologies and subject to your cookie choices and applicable law.

Public business sources: where lawful and relevant to business-to-business outreach or research.

Service providers and platforms: such as Squarespace/Acuity, GoCardless and other systems used to administer our business and services.
4. How We Use Personal Data & Our Lawful Bases
We only use personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the activity, this may include:
Contract: to provide agreed services, manage subscriptions, arrange shoots, administer payments, onboard clients and fulfil our contractual obligations.
Legitimate Interests: where necessary for reasonable business purposes such as responding to enquiries, conducting requested Brand Audits, maintaining business relationships, improving our services, preventing misuse, managing business administration and establishing or defending legal claims, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal Obligation: where information must be processed or retained to comply with tax, accounting, regulatory or other legal requirements.
Consent: where consent is appropriate, including certain electronic marketing, particular uses of identifiable media and storage/access technologies where consent is required. Where we rely on consent, it can be withdrawn for future processing at any time.
Direct Marketing: We may contact business customers or professional contacts where data-protection and electronic-marketing law allows us to do so. Where consent is legally required, we will obtain it. You can object to direct marketing at any time by emailing hello@marketiered.com.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We use service providers where reasonably necessary to operate marketiered and deliver services. These may include:

Client-selected social media, email marketing and other platforms where necessary to deliver agreed services.
Depending on the activity, a provider may process personal data on our behalf or act as an independent controller under its own privacy terms. We use appropriate contractual and data-protection safeguards where required.
6. International Transfers
Some technology providers operate internationally, so personal data may in some circumstances be processed outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer takes place and UK law requires a transfer safeguard, we rely on an applicable adequacy arrangement or another legally recognised safeguard.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, contractual and dispute-management requirements.
Financial, tax and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting rules. For a self-employed business, relevant Self Assessment records generally need to be kept for at least five years after the 31 January submission deadline for the relevant tax year.
Enquiry information from prospective clients who do not become clients will normally be deleted or anonymised after 12 months unless there is a legitimate reason to retain it longer.
Client and project information is reviewed and retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant service, legal or business purpose.
